Video Entries

From its beginnings, Journler has given you the power to connect your written thoughts with other media. iPhoto and iTunes integration seamlessly bind your entries with your music and pictures, and support for linking to any kind of local or online file allows you to incoprate digital documents from anywhere. But there’s more. Journler also makes it possible to create digital media of your own.

Like its Audio Recording counterpart, video support in Journler is simple and powerful. If you have a video camera such as an iSight attached to your computer, you can easily create your own video entries. Simply select the included Insert Video Recording plugin from the Plugins menu and press the record button. It’s that easy.

The video recorder provides you with everything you need to create high quality video entries. By default, the recorder encodes at the H.264 320×240 standard, audio at 128k AAC, exactly the kind of video an iPod handles best. For slower computers, the MPEG4 encoding is also available. In either case, recording, converting and saving is done on the fly in the background so you don’t have to worry about it.
